Job summary

The Benevolent Society in Campbelltown, Dharawal Country, invites applications for a Child and Family Practitioner DFV Specialist. You will deliver trauma-informed, client-centred case management to women and children experiencing domestic and sexual violence, coordinating supports and referrals.

The role requires a relevant degree in social work or community services, 3–4+ years in case management, strong assessment skills, and a current driver licence.

Qualifications

  • This role requires a relevant tertiary qualification in social work, community services or similar.
  • 3–4+ years in case management within a complex support environment.
  • Experience supporting women impacted by trauma, domestic and family violence, or related challenges.
  • Ability to assess and respond to clients in crisis with appropriate referrals.
  • Solid understanding of child protection frameworks and mandatory reporting.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop tailored support plans.
  • Coordinate brokerage to ensure timely access to services.
  • Engage clients using best-practice assessment frameworks and risk minimisation.
  • Share plans transparently with clients and partner agencies where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with government departments and community agencies.
  • Work with stakeholders such as DV court advocacy services, police, Centrelink, housing services.
