Live North West QLD is seeking an experienced DFSV Support Counsellor/Women's Advocate in Mt Isa/Gulf region. You will provide therapeutic support and advocacy across Doomadgee, Normanton and Mornington Island, travelling to communities to assist survivors.

Role involves trauma-focused assessments, group work, crisis response and collaboration with police, medical services, education and child protection agencies. You will contribute to community education and internal coaching.

Formación

• Providing therapeutic interventions to people who have experienced domestic, family or sexual violence.
• Undertaking evidence-based and trauma-focused assessments, case formulation and goal setting.
• Working with agencies to advocate for and respond to identified risk.

Responsabilidades

• Providing therapeutic interventions to people who have experienced domestic, family or sexual violence, from first disclosure to investigation and criminal prosecution.
• Collaborating with client and agencies to advocate, assess and respond to risk.
• Delivering community education and professional training.
• Providing coaching and advice to internal colleagues.
