BaptistCare NSW/ACT - Aged Care in Penrith NSW is seeking a Counsellor/Group Worker to provide trauma-informed, evidence-based counselling and group programs for individuals, couples, children and families, to build resilience and wellbeing. You will work within the Community Services & Housing team with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those affected by Family and Domestic Violence.
The role includes engagement with local schools to support early intervention and wellbeing
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling, Social Work) or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Clinical membership of PACFA or AASW.
- Experience supporting individuals, couples and families impacted by complex issues, including Family and Domestic Violence, separation, conflict, parenting challenges and trauma.
Responsabilités
- Provide trauma-informed counselling and group programs to diverse client groups.
- Engage with local schools to support early intervention and wellbeing initiatives.
- Contribute to Living Beyond Abuse program delivery and development.
