Job summary

EnergyCo NSW is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to lead the delivery of strategic and specialist legal services across complex regulatory, commercial, transactional and legislative matters.

You will support the General Counsel in leading a team of legal professionals, oversee legal workstreams and external resources, and provide expert advice to manage legal risk while supporting organisational priorities.

Qualifications

• Admitted as a legal practitioner and holding a current unrestricted practising certificate
• Experience delivering strategic legal advice in complex regulatory, commercial and legislative environments

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of strategic and specialist legal services across regulatory, commercial, transactional and legislative matters.
• Support the General Counsel by leading a team and managing legal risk.
• Provide expert legal advice to stakeholders across government, industry and executives.
