Job summary

Energy Safe Victoria is seeking a Senior Solicitor – Regulatory and Corporate to deliver high-quality legal advice across regulatory, governance and corporate matters. You will work with internal stakeholders and external providers to manage complex issues and support compliance and risk management.

The role offers flexible hybrid work with two days in the Southbank office, a base salary from $144,991 to $168,323 plus 12% super, and opportunities to lead projects, mentor junior lawyers and

Qualifications

• Legal experience across in-house, government or private practice with regulatory matters.
• Ability to provide pragmatic advice to senior leaders on complex issues.
• Experience leading complex legal matters and projects with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to mentor junior lawyers and support capability development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality legal advice across regulatory, governance and corporate matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Lead proceedings and manage external legal providers and counsel.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and regulators.
• Support legislative reform, privacy, information governance and compliance activities.
• Mentor solicitors and contribute to the legal team's capability development.
