Aggreko plc seeks a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead design and integration of PLC, SCADA, and industrial network systems for a major hybrid power project in Australia. You will supervise consultants, review control architectures, and ensure successful FAT/SAT and commissioning across sites. The role combines hands-on engineering with project delivery leadership, requiring strong hands-on PLC and networking skills and the ability to work across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in control systems engineering within power generation, utilities, mining, oil and gas, renewables or major industrial environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Codesys).
• Experience with FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting of complex control systems.

Responsabilités

• Design and review detailed control systems (PLC, SCADA, network).
• Develop and maintain PLC control philosophies and functional descriptions.
• Support PLC programming and software development.
• Coordinate interfaces between control systems and electrical/mechanical/BESS/solar/thermal systems.
• Oversee FAT, SAT, commissioning and site testing.
