Job summary

Hindmarsh is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our ACT team on the Googong Primary School project. You will lead procurement, manage head and subcontract administration, handle claims, variations and EOTs, and provide commercial guidance to the project team.

With 5+ years in commercial construction, you’ll mentor others and ensure financial performance aligns with budget. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to drive project success and risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years' proven commercial construction experience.
• Experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract administration, variations, claims and commercial reporting.
• Familiarity with contract law principles and relevant construction legislation.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting developing commercial team members.
• Experience using CHEOPS, Aconex or similar construction software.

Responsibilities

• Leading procurement, including tendering, assessment and negotiation of major subcontract packages
• Managing head contract and subcontract administration throughout project delivery
• Managing progress claims, variations, EOTs and subcontractor claims
• Forecasting and reporting on project financial performance, including cashflow, costs and commercial risk
• Monitoring project costs against budget and identifying risks and opportunities
• Providing commercial advice and guidance to the Project Manager and wider project team
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Leading commercial and variation review processes
• Supporting project close-out, including financial completion and finalisation of subcontract accounts
• Mentoring and supporting Contract Administrators and Cadets within the project team
