Job summary

THEM is seeking a contracts professional to own commercial outcomes on live Class 2 residential projects in Sydney. You will lead procurement, subcontracts, variations, claims and final accounts, with a strong focus on cost reporting and forecasting to protect margins.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, proven experience across multiple trade packages, and solid Procore skills. Australian work rights are essential.

Qualifications

ROLE

Work closely with Project Managers and leadership to own the commercial outcome of live projects, from procurement through to OC.

Lead trade procurement, preparing tender packages, scopes and comparisons, negotiating and letting subcontracts.

Manage variations, EOTs, delay claims and contractual notices to protect the business’s position at every stage.

Take charge of progress claims, assessing them sharply and keeping payments fair, accurate and on time.

Be the commercial pulse of every project, with sharp cost reporting and forecasting that protects the margin.

Projects $70M+ with the opportunity to shape commercial standards.

YOU

Proven contracts administration experience within Class 2 residential construction a must, ideally within a developer-builder.

Proven ability to manage multiple trade packages at once, keeping cost, program and quality on track.

Hands-on capability managing procurement, subcontract negotiation, variations, claims and final accounts on live projects.

Commercial acumen across budgets, cost plans and forecasting, with solid reporting skills in Procore.

Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar highly regarded.

A practical, proactive team player who uses positive, persuasive communication and represents the business with authority with subcontractors, consultants and clients.

Australian work rights are essential.
