Job summary

Morson Edge invites applications for a Senior Contract Administrator to provide commercial leadership across national projects in Australia. The role collaborates with Project Managers, leaders and clients to protect commercial positions and manage contractual risk.

You will oversee contract administration, EOTs, variations and notices while supporting multiple Business Units nationwide, driving improved commercial processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in contract administration or commercial management within Australian construction.
• Background in civil infrastructure, piling, ground engineering or specialist contracting highly regarded.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and bespoke construction contracts.
• Demonstrated experience managing EOTs, delays, prolongation, disruption and concurrent delay.
• Proven capability across variation identification, notification, pricing, negotiation and recovery.
• Strong understanding of contractual notices, time bars and preservation of entitlement.
• Experience preparing and substantiating contractual claims and negotiating commercial outcomes.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple projects and Business Units.
• Confident communicator capable of advising Project Managers, clients and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractual and commercial requirements across projects from commencement through to completion.
• Review, interpret and administer Australian Standards-based and bespoke construction contracts.
• Provide practical commercial and contractual advice to Project Managers, Business Unit leaders and senior management.
• Identify contractual risks, opportunities, time bars and potential commercial exposure early.
• Prepare, substantiate and negotiate Extensions of Time, delay, disruption and prolongation claims.
• Assess concurrent delay and associated contractual and commercial implications.
• Manage the full variation lifecycle, including identification, notification, pricing, substantiation, negotiation and recovery.
• Assess entitlement arising from scope changes, methodology, access, ground conditions and other project events.
• Ensure contractual notices, correspondence and supporting commercial records are accurate and issued within required timeframes.
• Provide commercial support across multiple projects, locations and Business Units nationally.
• Mentor project teams and help improve commercial systems, processes and capability across the business.

We are partnering with one of Australia’s leading specialist foundation contractors, to appoint an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to provide commercial and contractual leadership across projects nationally.

Our client delivers complex piling and ground engineering solutions across major infrastructure, transport, commercial, industrial and resource projects throughout Australia.

About the Role
