Job summary

Trifecta Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to lead the commercial function on diverse construction projects. You will own contractual management from procurement to completion and oversee subcontractor procurement, letting and negotiations.

You will work closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure financial discipline, timely delivery, and robust risk management across a portfolio valued up to $100M+.

Qualifications

• Experience as Contract Administrator/Senior Contract Administrator in commercial construction.
• Proven delivery of commercial new-build projects.
• Retail, supermarket or shopping centre construction exposure is valued.
• Strong procurement, contract administration, variations and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Trifecta Recruitment have partnered with a well-established Australian construction business with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial construction projects across a diverse range of sectors.

With a strong presence in the Sydney market and a growing pipeline of work, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join its team.

Projects range from smaller retail works through to major commercial developments valued at $50M–$100M+, offering exposure to a diverse and challenging portfolio of construction projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the commercial function across projects, working closely with senior leadership and project delivery teams.

Your New Role

• Take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of projects from procurement through to completion.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, letting, negotiations and ongoing commercial relationships.
• Oversee progress claims, variations, cost reporting, forecasting and project budgets.
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure commercial outcomes and project objectives are achieved.
• Identify and manage contractual risks while ensuring projects are delivered within agreed budgets and timeframes.

What You Need To Succeed

• Previous experience as a Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator within a commercial construction environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering commercial new-build projects.
• Retail, supermarket or shopping centre construction experience will be highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor procurement, contract administration, variations and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work autonomously, take ownership and contribute to a collaborative project team.
