Job summary

Goldlead Supply Chain Development (Oceania) Pty Ltd – Banksmeadow NSW seeks an experienced Container Surveyor/Inspector to inspect empty dry and reefer containers, identify damage, and determine repair needs. You will prepare repair estimates and maintain complete inspection records using depot systems.

Ideal candidates will hold an IICL Container Inspector Certification, have prior surveyor experience, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Current IICL Container Inspector Certification is required.
• Previous experience as a Container Surveyor / Inspector.
• Experience inspecting both dry and reefer containers.
• Strong knowledge of container damage assessment and repair standards.
• Experience preparing repair estimates.
• Ability to carry out inspections independently.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Experience in an empty container depot or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect empty dry and reefer containers to IICL and shipping line standards.
• Identify container damage and determine repair requirements.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using handheld devices.
• Complete inspection records and process information through depot systems.
• Determine container condition and grading requirements.
• Liaise with M&R, container control and operations teams.
• Take damage photos and maintain inspection records.
• Ensure all work complies with WHS requirements and procedures.
