Job summary

Oceania Container Services in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Empty Container Forklift Operator for AM/PM shifts at our Brooklyn depot. The role requires handling empty containers, operating a twinpick forklift, and learning the self-mounted tablet used in daily operations.

Prerequisites include 12 months’ experience, strong attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to work unsupervised. Immediate start preferred with adherence to OH&S standards and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience handling empty shipping containers.
• Able to operate twinpick forklift efficiently and effectively.
• Able to learn and use the self-mounted tablet inside forklift.

Responsibilities

• Unload & load containers from trucks safely.
• Operate twinpick container handlers of different brands.
• Work day or night shifts per company requirements.
• Work unsupervised with a fast-paced depot environment.
• Maintain OH&S regulations and high safety standards.
• Be fit and healthy with a strong work ethic.

Empty Container Forklift Operator AM PM shifts

Oceania Container Services is one of Melbourne’s leading shipping container parks and was established by COSCO Shipping (Oceania), providing ourselves with firm values and a base of long term customers. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Empty Container Forklift Operator to join our Melbourne Depot inBrooklyn.

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum 12months experience handling empty shipping containers with the ability to operate a twinpick forklift efficiently and effectively. Ability to learn and use the self-mounted tablet inside fork for operations.
• Strong proven skills and experience, Strong attention to detail.
• Must be physically fit.
• Immediate start preferrable
• Valid Police check preferrable
• Must complete the company provided pre-employment medical

Tasks & responsibilities

• Safe unloading & Loading containers from trucks
• Demonstrated ability to operate twin pick container handlers of different brands
• Willing to work ongoing dayshift or night shift per company requirements
• Be confident to work unsupervised
• Be able to work at a fast pace environment while meeting all OH&S regulations
