About the role

As Senior Consultant, Learning and Capability, you will partner with senior leaders, Business Partners and People, Culture and Engagement colleagues to translate business needs and future capability requirements into targeted learning and development strategies, initiatives and investments.

You will provide specialist expertise in learning strategy, capability development and organisational learning, leading contemporary, scalable and measurable solutions that support performance improvement and organisational readiness. You will also shape enterprise learning and capability frameworks, connect capability insights across the TAC, and use evidence to guide investment and continuously improve outcomes.

About the Team

Reporting to the Senior Consultant, Future Workforce Design, this role sits within the People Capability Branch in the People & Culture division. You will join a collaborative, supportive and outcomes-focused team that is passionate about enabling the TAC and its people to thrive.

You will be supported by a manager who promotes a highly engaged, trusting and inclusive team culture.

What we’re looking for

Strategic learning and capability expertise

• Demonstrated experience in learning and capability strategy, capability planning, organisational development or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary learning methodologies, capability frameworks, organisational learning and performance improvement practices.
• Experience designing, leading and evaluating enterprise-wide learning and capability initiatives that deliver measurable organisational outcomes.

Senior stakeholder partnering and influence

• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and translate business strategy, transformation priorities and workforce needs into capability requirements and targeted development interventions.
• Strong consulting, facilitation and influencing skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge assumptions and provide clear strategic advice.

Evidence-based planning and program leadership

• Demonstrated ability to analyse capability needs and organisational data, translating insights into evidence-based recommendations and strategic investments.
• Experience leading complex programs or portfolios, including planning, prioritisation, governance, implementation, evaluation and benefits realisation.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Learning and Development, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Business or a related discipline are desirable.
