Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services in Canberra is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to oversee construction contracts across complex projects. The role involves commercial delivery, managing subcontractor agreements, and maintaining contract records.

Australian Citizenship is mandatory and an NV2 security clearance may be required; onsite work five days per week is expected. You will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contractual processes are followed,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contract Administrator in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors, variations, claims, and contractual documentation.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage construction contracts from commencement through to completion.
• Support Project Managers with commercial and contractual matters.
• Manage subcontractor agreements and contractual documentation.
• Monitor contractual obligations, milestones and deliverables.
• Assist with variations, claims and extensions of time.
• Review and assess subcontractor claims and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate contract registers and project records.
• Identify contractual risks and eliminate issues proactively.
• Support procurement and subcontractor engagement.
• Prepare commercial reports and project documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Ensure contractual and commercial processes are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
