Department of Government Services VIC in Melbourne seeks a Senior Inspector to conduct compliance monitoring and inspections under the Australian Consumer Law and related acts. The role covers complex investigations, tenancy reviews, and frontline dispute resolution, based in Geelong or Werribee with outreach to metro Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The Senior Inspector will mentor staff, lead workforce planning, and ensure strategic priorities are met within the West Area.

Formación

• Experience in compliance/investigations operations including the planning, development and delivery of outreach activities based on business plans and policies.
• Experience in the preparation of reports and the drafting of correspondence that provides clear and purposeful communication.
• Knowledge of, and/or relevant experience in legislative compliance and enforcement activities and CAV relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures OR capacity to learn and apply the knowledge, as required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide advice, guidance and support to others to ensure professional standards, organisational requirements and best practice principles are consistently applied.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Area Manager in coordinating, planning and developing compliance activities and their implementation, resolving operational problems.
• Conduct a range of complex and routine compliance activities including investigations, inspections and the preparation of reports and briefs of evidence.
• Monitor and prepare reports on operational activities and provide recommendations on compliance program matters.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with regional stakeholders including councils, businesses and community groups.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to CAV Inspectors to ensure professional standards are upheld.
