Job summary

The Department of Government Services in Geelong seeks a Governance and Risk Inspector to carry out compliance monitoring and inspections under the Australian Consumer Law and related acts. Responsibilities

Participate in and contribute to an ongoing compliance program and implement compliance activities.
Carry out routine inspections and, where authorised, more complex inspections under applicable laws.
Undertake frontline dispute resolution using negotiation skills in line with policy.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with area stakeholders including community agencies, local councils, businesses and groups.
Demonstrate commitment to public sector values in all aspects of work.
