Job summary

APG Workforce is recruiting a Senior Communications Advisor (AO6) to support the Department of Transport and Main Roads, North Coast Region, based on the Sunshine Coast. You will lead communications and stakeholder engagement for major Sunshine Coast transport projects from Buderim, coordinating with project teams, contractors and communities.

The role focuses on developing strategies, managing community relations, and providing strategic advice to mitigate issues and protect project reputations

Qualifications

• Must have strong communications and stakeholder engagement experience in major infrastructure, construction or transport projects.
• Experience with contractors, alliance teams, joint ventures or integrated project teams.
• Experience managing construction impacts and stakeholder issues.
• Excellent written, verbal and relationship management skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear communications.
• Strong judgement and ability to manage competing priorities.

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Advisor (AO6) to join the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), North Coast Region.

Based in Buderim, you will support the delivery of major Sunshine Coast transport infrastructure projects, including The Wave Stage 3 (Metro) and the Mooloolah River Interchange Upgrade.

The Role Working within the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team, you will partner closely with TMR project teams, contractors and stakeholders to coordinate communications and engagement throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
