Axis Underwriting Services in Brisbane CBD is seeking a Commercial Underwriter for Commercial & Property (QLD). You will work directly with the State Manager (Qld) and senior underwriters on a portfolio-facing desk that elevates your technical authority and decision-making.

Expect to expand into ISR, complex Business Pack, and broad Public Liability, while building broker relationships with Queensland's leading insurers and gaining insight into Lloyd’s and domestic markets.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience within Commercial Property or Commercial Lines underwriting.
• Strong observational and analytical skills; detail-oriented when reviewing submissions and policy wordings.
• Comfortable navigating underwriting engines, rating tools, and MS Office.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate, quote, and bind commercial new business and renewals within delegated authority.
• Serve as a point of contact for leading Queensland brokers and negotiate terms.
• Analyse risk quality, survey reports, and policy wordings to maintain portfolio profitability.
• Provide high-level technical support to broking and industry partners.
