BlueScope is seeking a Senior Commercial Business Partner to support the QLD & NT business from Archerfield, QLD. This high‑impact leadership role sits on the National Commercial Leadership Team and the QLD & NT State Business Leadership Team, providing trusted commercial insight and strategic guidance to drive sustainable investment and growth.

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
Extensive finance and commercial experience within a complex business.
Ability to understand performance beyond the financial data and identify factors shaping results.
Proven ability to influence strategy and business decisions.
Ability to communicate complex financial and commercial information clearly to varied stakeholders.
Confidence to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities across organisational boundaries.
Proactive engagement with internal customers and understanding their business needs.

Responsibilities

Maximise commercial performance by partnering with the State Manager and leadership team to develop and implement EBIT-enhancing strategies.
Provide meaningful commercial insight beyond financial results to support decision-making.
Shape strategy and investment decisions, balancing end-to-end business priorities.
Strengthen governance and manage risk with robust financial controls and processes.
Collaborate across sales, operations, and finance to understand end-to-end business dynamics.
Deliver business improvements by progressing significant initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
Champion change and innovation by identifying new ways of working and opportunities.
