Handy Finance is seeking an experienced Senior Collections Officer in Adelaide to own and resolve complex collections matters while supporting and mentoring the credit team within a fast-growing FinTech.

You will lead escalated collections, review arrears reporting, and negotiate tailored repayment solutions with customers, aiming to drive loss performance and efficient litigation where required. Based in the Adelaide CBD with strong career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in collections, credit or financial services, ideally in senior or complex case-handling roles.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills with a customer-first mindset.
• High emotional intelligence and exemplary phone manner.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• Sound understanding of collections legislation and litigation processes.
• Collaborative, hands-on attitude—a true team player.

Responsabilités

• Manage escalated and complex collections cases with professionalism and empathy.
• Lead case management of long-dated and high-risk collections matters.
• Oversee and review daily arrears reporting and trend analysis, providing actionable insights to Credit & Operations teams.
• Engage with customers and related parties to negotiate tailored repayment solutions.
• Prepare reporting and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders, including legal escalation where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the collections process.
