Job summary

Hysata Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist for our in-house workshop to support prototype and early production parts for our groundbreaking technology. You will analyse components for manufacture, design jigs and CAM setups in Fusion, and ensure timely delivery with a strong focus on safety and quality.

You will join a dynamic, fast-paced team, responsible for maintaining equipment, collaborating with design and manufacturing, and contributing to scalable production as we expand

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tradesman experience working as a machinist in a prototyping/jobbing shop setting.
• Good interpersonal skills with clear and open communication.
• Organisational and data management skills.
• Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment; and
• An attitude that aligns with our Hysata Culture of Support, Honesty and Integrity, Respect, Empathy, Kindness.

Responsibilities

• Analyse components for manufacture and decide upon the best approach that maintains required quality while manufacturing the components in a timely manner using CNC VMC Mills, water jet and laser cutter, 3D printers and other manual machinery.
• Utilise Autodesk Fusion to design and model jigs, fixtures and CAM setups for CAM programs; organised and logical programming is a must; meticulous attention to detail.
• Understand daily responsibilities and maintain focus on tasks, ensuring due dates are met with planning and scheduling.
• Understand core design intent and provide feedback to design team regarding manufacturing feasibility and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain and service machinery to keep them in safe, proper operating condition; ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Be proactive in noticing potential issues and flagging them immediately.
