Job summary

Agilent Technologies Australia is seeking an experienced Toolmaker – CNC Specialist fitter to join our prototype machine shop. You will turn product designs into reality, fabricate jigs/fixtures, and support part rework activities with strong machining skills and tooling proficiency.

The role demands manual lathe/mill expertise, CNC programming experience, and creative problem solving to deliver high-precision parts. Flexibility and craftsmanship using hand tools are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in fitting and turning or tool making are required.
• High skill level on manual lathe and mill, working to low tolerances.
• CNC programming experience and GD&T understanding are essential.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM software (NX, NX CAM, SolidWorks, Solidcam, Fusion360) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Turn product designs into working parts in a prototype/mest shop.
• Fabricate jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturability.
• Provide manufacturing support on part rework activities.
• Operate and program CNC machines and use hand tools to craft precision parts.
