Job summary

Agilent in Australia is seeking an experienced Toolmaker - CNC Specialist fitter to join our prototype machine shop. You will turn product designs into reality, operate and program CNC equipment, and support the development team with low-volume production work.

You will fabricate jigs and fixtures, use hand tools to create precision parts, and apply GD&T on drawings. CAD/CAM skills with Siemens NX/NX CAM, SolidWorks, SolidCam or Fusion 360 are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in fitting and turning or tool making.
• Experience in a low-volume production or prototype facility.
• High skill level on manual lathe & mill, working to low tolerances.
• CNC programming experience.
• Strong drawing comprehension with a good understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM software (Siemens NX and NX CAM, SolidWorks, SolidCAM and Fusion360) would be an advantage.

• Turn product designs into reality in a prototype machine shop.
• Provide manufacturing support on part rework activities.
• Fabricate jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturability.
• Operate and program CNC machines.
• Collaborate with product development team in a flexible, problem-solving manner.
