Job summary

IP Australia is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and secure cloud platforms across AWS and Azure, with emphasis on identity controls and security monitoring. The role focuses on increasing reliability, operational maturity and staff capability while enabling remote work and periodic Canberra office attendance.

The candidate will drive cloud security across identity, monitoring and automation, participate in architectural governance, and mentor teams delivering cloud

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of AWS Cloud Platform services and account reliability/security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of IAM including EntraID, SCIM and AWS IAM.
• Experience with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Defender, Sentinel).
• Networking experience in modern cloud deployments.
• Experience delivering improvements through CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others in cloud skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliverstable and secure software environments aligning with IP Australia reference architecture.
• Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud initiatives.
• Deploy and service cloud initiatives following best practices across the development lifecycle.
• Administer and optimize cloud environments per architectural and security guidelines.
• Collaborate with and mentor teams on cloud initiatives and best practices.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud environments.
