Job summary

Ignite in Canberra is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead Azure cloud design, deployment, and governance. You will drive IaC, CI/CD automation, and DevSecOps practices while ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable cloud platforms. You will mentor teams and support migration and security assurance efforts.

The role emphasizes working with architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver robust cloud solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in cloud engineering and Azure environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Australian Government security processes (IRAP, PSPF).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and configuration of Microsoft Azure cloud platform services.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform or similar.
• Design and implement Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Contribute to technical architecture, solution design, and implementation planning.
• Implement policy-driven data protection and governance controls.
• Design and maintain highly available, scalable, secure Azure environments.
• Support security assurance, accreditation, compliance, and remediation activities.
