Spotlight Retail Group is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Engineering to build scalable, secure, cloud‑native solutions across our multi‑brand, multi‑country digital ecosystem. You’ll work in a vibrant, hybrid environment at our South Melbourne office.

We value 8–12 years of experience delivering large‑scale platforms, strong TypeScript/React, Java, NestJS, and AWS expertise, plus e‑commerce domain know‑how.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in software engineering delivering large‑scale digital platforms.
• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Redux, Tailwind CSS, SSR/SSG, performance.
• Backend: Java, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, SQL/NoSQL, AWS-native architecture.
• Domain: e‑commerce experience; headless CMS or Commerce tools desirable.
• Mindset: Agile, adaptable, thrives in high‑availability retail.

Responsibilities

• Build maintainable, cloud‑native AWS features with solid design.
• Deliver full‑stack features across Next.js/React and NestJS/Java services.
• Design and consume event‑driven components and APIs (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Maintain code quality, tests, CI/CD pipelines, and technical docs.
• Leverage AI agents to accelerate debugging and delivery.
