Job summary

Omnicom Media Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack & Cloud to design, build and operate modern software applications and cloud infrastructure. This hands-on role carries end-to-end ownership across development, architecture, cloud infra and production operations.

You will work with product, data and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions, leveraging TypeScript, React, Node.js, AWS and IaC with Terraform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience and senior delivery track record.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and React, plus scalable backend APIs in Node.js.
• Proven AWS design/operation experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Deep PostgreSQL and MongoDB data modelling, performance tuning and schema design.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack & Cloud to design, build and operate modern software applications and the cloud infrastructure that supports them.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role with end-to-end ownership across application development, architecture, cloud infrastructure and production operations.

You will work on complex and sometimes ambiguous problems, partnering with engineering, product and data teams to shape solutions and take them from technical design through implementation, deployment and ongoing operation.

We are looking for an engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals, sound architectural judgement and the ability to work effectively across the full technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve production-grade applications using TypeScript, React and Node.js, with a strong focus on quality, performance and maintainability
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs and integrations with MongoDB and other internal or external platforms
• Take end-to-end ownership of technical solutions from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, monitoring and ongoing improvement
• Translate business and product requirements into pragmatic technical solutions, making well-reasoned decisions across architecture, APIs, data and infrastructure
• Design and manage application infrastructure in AWS using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices
• Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, application delivery and infrastructure changes
• Apply strong engineering practices across testing, security, observability, reliability and operational readiness
• Diagnose and resolve issues across application, infrastructure and deployment layers, and implement improvements that reduce recurring operational risk
• Identify technical debt, architectural risks and opportunities to simplify, modernise or improve existing systems
• Contribute to code, design and architecture reviews, helping maintain high engineering standards across the team
• Communicate technical decisions, risks and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of operating at Senior Engineer level and driving technical delivery across complex initiatives.
• Strong hands‑on experience in TypeScript and React, with proven expertise in designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
• Proven experience designing and operating applications on AWS, with deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud environments.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases, including schema design, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
• Experience with MongoDB and other NoSQL/document databases, with a solid understanding of data modelling and scalability considerations.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, API design, distributed systems, and data modelling principles.
• Experience building and operating modern engineering platforms using CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and production support best practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native security and secure application development principles.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and clearly explain technical concepts, decisions, and trade-offs across all levels of the organisation.
