Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Cloud Economics Business Development Manager to quantify the cost and value benefits of running applications on AWS. You will build board-ready migration business cases, shape customers' IT financial models, and engage with C-level executives, Finance leaders, and IT architects to accelerate cloud adoption.

You will partner with AWS sales teams on strategic engagements, identify barriers to adoption, and develop strategies to overcome them,

Qualifications

Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science)
6+ years working with and presenting to senior executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, legal and/or internal stakeholders
6+ years experience in financial analysis, value engineering, or value advisory

Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the Cloud Economics team in APJC, helping to drive sales engagements with our customers across one of our most important markets
Work with AWS Sales and Specialist AWS functions to help quantify the economics of running IT applications in the cloud versus a traditional data center environment
Act as a central resource for the Sales team to help our customers create financial models for their current and future IT landscape
Build case studies and reusable examples that scale Cloud Economics learnings across AWS
Prepare and present business cases to senior leaders, explaining the value of migrating to AWS
