Job summary

Smartgroup is seeking a Senior Client Payments & Reconciliations Coordinator for a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Adelaide. You will join the Client Finance team to investigate complex reconciliation issues, process salary packaging payments, and provide insightful client/vendor reporting.

You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations across high volumes of financial transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in reconciliations, financial operations or client finance roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience investigating discrepancies and resolving complex financial issues.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and systems navigation skills.
• A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to team success.

Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile allocated client bank accounts and financial transactions.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances and anomalies.
• Process salary packaging payments, EFT files and BPAY transactions.
• Produce and distribute client and vendor reporting.
• Support the timely resolution of client and business queries.
• Manage escalations, complaints and complex reconciliation issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures and service standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
