We are seeking an ambitious, proactive Senior Client Partner to join our established Public Sector team in the Sydney CBD.
Unlike a traditional 360-degree recruitment desk, our public sector model separates sales and delivery to allow you to focus on what you do best. As a Senior Client Partner, you are the face of Randstad to the market—partnered with dedicated Talent Partners who manage candidate sourcing and delivery, while you spearhead business development, client engagement, and job flow.
You will manage a predominantly temporary business support desk across highly sought-after government and public sector accounts—including NSW State Government, Federal Government, Local Councils, Higher Education, and Not-for-Profit organizations. While there is an existing pipeline and incoming job flow, your primary mission is to be the hunter: winning new client relationships, expanding buying accounts, and growing weekly Gross Profit (GP).
Driving Outbound Business Development: Actively identify, target, and acquire new buying clients across government agencies, education, and NFP sectors through sales calls, networking, and floating top talent.
Client Engagement & Face-to-Face Meetings: Regularly attend face-to-face client visits across Sydney to build relationships with key decision-makers and department heads (all major clients are easily accessible via central public transport/train networks).
Generating Job Flow: Partner closely with clients to capture upcoming temporary and permanent business support vacancies.
Account Growth: Maximize the footprint and weekly Gross Profit of the desk by expanding existing public sector accounts into multiple buying divisions.
Agency Recruitment Experience: Proven track record in agency recruitment with demonstrated success in direct sales and growing a desk from scratch (experience in Business Support recruitment is a bonus, but we are open to any recruitment sector background).
True Hunter Mentality: A self-starter who doesn't rely solely on existing contact lists, loves picking up the phone, and proactively navigates complex client organizations to find the right hiring managers.
Commercial Drive: Results-oriented with a passion for growing weekly GP, increasing active buying clients, and closing deals.
Strong Interpersonal Skills: Confident, polished communication and presentation skills suitable for engaging with senior public sector stakeholders.
Competitive Compensation - Base salary plus uncapped, tiered commissions.
True Hybrid Flexibility: Balanced working model with 3 days in our Sydney CBD office and 2 days working from home (WFH).
No Vehicle Required: Forget traffic and vehicle maintenance—our public sector client portfolio is centrally located and connected via major train links.
Leave Benefits: An extra day of leave for each year of service, your birthday off, volunteer leave, and comprehensive parental leave.
Financial Incentives: Access to the employee share purchase scheme where Randstad matches 100% of your contribution.
Health & Wellbeing: Discounted gym memberships, Bupa healthcare corporate plans, and complimentary access to employee wellbeing programs including yoga, meditation, and EAP support.
