Job summary

Randstad on the Gold Coast seeks an experienced Project Manager (Civil) for Pre-Construction on a 12-month contract with potential extensions. Based in Nerang, you will drive design, tendering and construction readiness, ensuring quality and value for money.

The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), RPEQ registration, 15+ years' experience delivering transport projects and a valid White Card. You will manage budgets, stakeholders and safety on site.

Qualifications

• A four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
• Minimum of 15 years' proven experience delivering transport infrastructure projects.
• Valid Class C driver's licence and OH&S Construction Induction (White Card or equivalent).
• Ability to provide own PPE including safety boots, long-sleeved shirt and trousers, and a hard hat with brim attachment.
• Criminal history check will be required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer comprehensive project delivery including design oversight, tendering, procurement, and contract administration.
• Act as the official Representative of the Principal for contract delivery across project phases.
• Provide high-level engineering advice on planning, design options, material usage and construction practices.
• Drive the tendering process including calling, assessing and awarding contracts for pre-construction and construction projects.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures and provide accurate progress reports.
• Identify and manage complex stakeholder networks, address high-risk issues and political matters professionally.
• Supervise resource allocation and foster a collaborative, results-driven team environment.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, legislative and policy standards for road infrastructure projects.
