Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Senior Team Leader to guide a professional and operational team delivering high-quality child protection services under relevant legislation and guidelines.

The role involves strategic leadership of assessment, intervention, and case management, with emphasis on service improvement, staff development, and cross‑sector partnerships across the Child Safety Service Centre.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work, human services, behavioural sciences, or legal studies.
• Blue Card clearance is mandatory.
• C class driver's licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of staff to deliver quality child protection service delivery.
• Allocate and prioritise work tasks in line with policy and practice guidelines.
• Develop service responses to meet client needs across children, families, carers and communities.
• Identify training needs and collaborate with training specialists to implement relevant programs.
• Foster enduring cross‑sector partnerships and frontline service delivery improvements.
• Participate in Service Centre Management Team and quality assurance reviews.
• Provide advice on complex casework matters, policy, and legislation to staff.
