Job summary

Skilled Jobs Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Chef to lead and work with a dedicated kitchen team in a riverside hotel in South Australia. You will prepare, cook and present dishes to our high standards, contribute to menu development and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include stock management, cost control, training junior staff and enforcing health regulations. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of 76,500–85,000 AUD plus Superannuation.

Qualifications

• Experience required at senior chef level with track record of leading kitchen teams.
• Strong cooking and presentation skills aligned with hotel dining standards.
• Ability to contribute to menu development and seasonal offerings.
• Excellent stock control, cost awareness and health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per our standards
• Contributing to the creation of menus with flair and Innovation having regard to our stock, season and patron preferences
• Ensure patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes to expectation
• Monitoring stock level and ordering accordingly to ensure cost-effectiveness
• Monitoring food preservation and rotation to ensure minimal wastage
• Assisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation and ingredients
• Aiding in the training of kitchen staff.
• Ensuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen and waiting staff
