Job summary

Waterview in Bicentennial Park in Sydney Olympic Park is seeking a qualified Chef to join our busy kitchen team in a permanent, full‑time role. You will help with menu planning, oversee cooking and serving, and supervise the kitchen on shifts.

You should hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery with at least 12 months of experience, have strong communication and teamwork skills, and stay calm under pressure. Salary is about $80,000 per year plus superannuation, with ~38 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Menu planning in consultation with Head Chef.
• Oversee and participate in preparation, cooking and serving of entrees and mains.
• Determine quantities and portion sizes considering dietary requirements.
• Check stock and notify suppliers of deficiencies.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in kitchen and dining areas.
• Co-operate with inspections and implement recommendations.
• Act as supervisor to kitchen staff on shift.
• Deputise for Head Chef when absent.
• Perform other duties as required.
