Job summary

Key Assets Australia is seeking a Senior Case Worker for the Family Support and Wellbeing Service in Kununurra. You will provide practical support, case management, and family-centred planning to improve child and family outcomes.

Role requires qualifications in youth/social work or equivalent, 5+ years with children and families, trauma-informed practice, and IT literacy. Hybrid work arrangements and generous benefits are available.

• Qualifications / Training in youth/social work or equivalent is essential.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working directly with children/young people and families.
• Experience with parents/carers and children/young people in a trauma-informed way is essential.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable.
• Sound working knowledge of IT systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with parents, carers, and families to provide practical support, guidance, and case management using the KAA Practice Framework.
• Complete assessments and develop family-centred plans to strengthen parenting capacity and family wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with families, community partners, and the Department of Communities to coordinate supports.
• Share experience and knowledge with colleagues through mentoring, supervision, and collaborative case discussions.
• Maintain accurate case records, reports and documentation in line with organisational policies.

As a Senior Case Worker, you will work in the Family Support and Wellbeing Service which includes the Early Intervention Family Support Services (EIFS) and theFamily Carer Support Service (FCSS). You will:

• Work alongside parents, carers, and families to provide practical support, guidance, and case management utilising the KAA Practice Framework that builds on strengths and helps achieve positive family outcomes.
• Complete assessments and develop family-centred plans that strengthen parenting capacity, enhance family wellbeing, and promote safe, nurturing environments for children.
• Build strong relationships with families, community partners, and the Department of Communities to coordinate supports and connect families with the services they need.
• Share your experience and knowledge with colleagues through mentoring, supervision, and collaborative case discussions, helping to foster a supportive team culture.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records, reports, and documentation in line with organisational policies and service requirements.

The base salary for this position is $105,570.40 - $110,350.76/annum (based on 1.0FTE) + super + mobile phone + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. Company Car/Vehicle allowance and fuel card will be provided + regional remote allowances will be discussed at interview. This position is a permanent full-time position.

About you

• Qualifications / Training in youth/social work/community services or equivalent is essential
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of working directly with children/young and families
• The ability to demonstrate experience working with parents/carers and children /young people in a trauma informed way is essential
• It is desirable that you have experience in leadership or supervisory roles
• A sound working knowledge and understanding of IT systems is essential
