Responsibilities

• Understand and execute governance-based responsibilities to deliver compliance and support business improvement.
• Conduct initial and progressive risk assessments and program suitability assessments.
• Identify and respond to risks arising from offender assessment and liaise with managers and external stakeholders.
• Prepare high-quality assessment documents and verify quality control of assessments.
• Interact directly with a caseload of high-risk sexual and violent offenders and assess risk and needs.
• Develop plans to meet court and parole board conditions and facilitate behavioral change.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and agency procedures for offender case management.
• Monitor offender supervision practices and assist in achieving oversight mechanisms.
• Exchange information with Queensland Police Service and other agencies to optimise offender management.
• Maintain case notes and intervention reports securely and accessibly for staff and authorities.
• Develop intervention strategies to foster behavioral and attitudinal change in offenders.
• Monitor compliance with orders and take breach actions as prescribed.
• Coordinate and monitor offender management plan implementation according to risk and need.
• Provide timely service and advice to courts, boards and agencies regarding offenders.
