Job summary

Medibank in Sydney is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to shape and deliver technology solutions supporting critical business outcomes. You will partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions and drive end-to-end delivery across projects, enhancements, and platform changes.

You will mentor team members, facilitate workshops, and ensure delivery aligns with privacy, security, and architectural standards, while supporting testing and operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst in application delivery, preferably in highly regulated environments such as financial services.
• Strong understanding of software development, system integrations and API-based delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and requirements elicitation capabilities.
• Experience documenting business requirements and designing system solutions.
• Experience leading delivery outcomes and coordinating internal/external teams.
• Hands-on testing support including UAT and debugging with log tools like Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop functional specifications and designs enabling delivery by development teams.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors and internal tech to meet privacy, security and architectural standards.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, provide status updates and milestones.
• Support end-to-end SDLC including design, development, testing and implementation activities.
• Support System, Integration and UAT testing with defect validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive capability uplift.
• Mentor team members and strengthen BA and Agile delivery capabilities.
• Plan and run delivery cadences in line with Medibank practices.
