Job summary

You will partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and lead delivery across the end-to-end lifecycle, including testing and deployment, within a regulated financial environment. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical or Senior Business Analyst in application delivery, especially in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of software development, system integrations, APIs and delivery.
• Solid stakeholder management across business and technical audiences.
• Experience documenting requirements, specifications and system solutions.
• Experience leading development outcomes and coordinating internal/external delivery resources.
• Hands-on testing support including UAT and defect validation.
• Experience using log analysis tools such as Splunk.
• Proficiency with API testing tools like Postman/SOAPUI and Atlassian Suite.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence for delivering activities.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Join our ahm and OSHC Applications Development team as a Senior Business Systems Analyst , where you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that support critical business outcomes.

Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll analyse business requirements, design effective system solutions, and lead the successful delivery of projects, enhancements and platform changes. This is an opportunity to influence strategic initiatives across business & technology, drive process improvement, and mentor fellow team members while working in a collaborative and customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business and system requirements.
• Develop functional specifications and solution designs that enable successful delivery by development teams.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, feasibility assessments and solution discussions.
• Work closely with project teams, vendors and internal technology teams & architects to deliver solutions that meet business needs and align with privacy, security and architectural standards.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, provide regular status updates and ensure agreed milestones are achieved.
• Support the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and implementation activities inclusive of operations & support where needed
• Facilitate and support System, Integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect validation and test review activities bringing lots of shift left practises collaborating with Developers and Testers in the team
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working across the business.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to team members, contributing to capability uplift and best-practice delivery.
• Mentor team members and contribute to strengthening Business Analysis and Agile delivery capabilities across the team.
• Efficient Planning & running of delivery /agile cadences inline with broader Medibank ways of working

Must haves:

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst or similar role within application delivery teams especially experience in highly regulated environment such as Financial industry background.
• Strong understanding of software development, system integrations, APIs and technical solution delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across both business and technical audiences.
• Strong business analysis, requirements elicitation, process improvement and solution design capability.
• Proven experience documenting business requirements, specifications and system solutions.
• Experience leading development outcomes and coordinating internal and external delivery resources.
• Hands-on experience supporting testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing.
• Hands-on experience supporting debugging of issues using log aggregators/tools such as Splunk
• Strong facilitation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering successful outcomes.
• Experience in using tools to execute API’s such as Postman/SOAPUI. Database Query tools, debugging tools such as Splunk
• Experience working in Atlassian Suites such as JIRA, Confluence for documenting & driving delivery activities
