Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a proactive Senior Business Improvement Officer to lead and coordinate practical improvements across the organisation. This permanent full-time statewide role offers the chance to influence processes, systems and customer outcomes from Queensland's offices.

You will work with leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify opportunities, use data and insights, and deliver value for Queenslanders while maintaining momentum and delivering outcomes

Job description

Working closely with leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders, you will facilitate continuous improvement activities, provide practical advice and support change initiatives that improve efficiency, effectiveness and customer outcomes.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based statewide across Queensland. This position can be performed from any QPT office.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and develop practical recommendations.
• Proven ability to engage, influence and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority, navigate ambiguity and maintain momentum across competing priorities.
• Well-developed project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, business cases, presentations and recommendations for a range of audiences.
• A commitment to achieving practical outcomes that create value for the organisation and the customers we serve.
