Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead discovery, analysis and requirements across bushfire and forest services. You will partner with stakeholders, understand complex challenges, and develop practical data and technology solutions that support emergency management and public land outcomes in Victoria.

The role requires strong facilitation, stakeholder influence and a track record in delivering business analysis for both custom

Qualifications

Substantial experience as a Senior Business Analyst with broad experience across organisations.
Degree in information technology or information systems; or degree in another field plus IT postgrad qualification; or equivalent mix of experience/education/training.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery, analysis and requirements activities for complex projects.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
Identify and document business, functional and reporting requirements.
Analyse business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, architects and product owners to deliver quality solutions.
Provide guidance and mentoring to other business analysts.
Support testing, implementation and change activities throughout the project lifecycle.
