Job summary

Halcyon Knights, a leading financial services organisation in Australia, seeks an experienced Senior Business Analyst / D365 Functional Consultant to own business and technical analysis across Dynamics 365 initiatives.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, Data teams and third-party partners to translate complex needs into scalable technology solutions, guiding end-to-end delivery from discovery to support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering complex technology changes.
• Hands-on experience implementing & uplifting Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Deep understanding of D365 concepts: configuration, data models, forms, views and workflows.
• Experience with Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Experience defining requirements for APIs, integrations and data migration.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and requirements elicitation.
• Experience across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

Responsibilities

This is a highly collaborative role, working across business stakeholders, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, Data teams and third-party technology partners to translate complex business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Lead end-to-end business analysis across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform initiatives, from discovery through to implementation and transition to support.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business problems, define target outcomes and establish solution scope.
• Elicit, analyse and prioritise functional, data, integration, reporting, security and non-functional requirements.
• Map current and future-state processes, customer journeys, business rules, data flows and system interactions.
• Translate business requirements into Dynamics 365 functional requirements, including entities, data structures, forms, views, workflows, automation and reporting.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions with technical and business stakeholders.
• Work closely with Solution Architects and D365 Developers to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned with platform standards.
• Support data migration and integration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, reconciliation and API requirements.
• Define acceptance criteria and support system, integration and UAT testing, including defect triage and implementation readiness.
• Produce high-quality analysis and documentation while contributing to continuous improvement across BA and delivery practices.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Senior BA who combines strong business analysis capability with genuine Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM knowledge.

You’ll have:

• 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering complex technology and business change, including hands onexperience implementing & upliftingMicrosoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Strong understanding of D365 concepts including configuration, customisation, entities, data models, forms, views, workflows, security roles and solution lifecycle.
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Experience defining requirements for APIs, third-party integrations, data migration, reporting and identity/access management.
• Strong process modelling, requirements elicitation, data analysis and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience working alongside Solution Architects, D365 Developers, Testers, Vendors and business SMEs throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro and Microsoft Office.
