Job summary

Project Pathway is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to own the redevelopment of the client portal end to end, replacing the current mobile-only portal with a web-based platform accessible on desktop and mobile, resolving data quality issues, and improving client experience while reducing customer support.

Business owners rely on the Senior BA to shape solutions, argue for them, and secure agreement, rather than simply capturing requests.

Qualifications

• Senior end-to-end Business Analyst with 7+ years track record.
• Experience owning product development end-to-end, without a dedicated Product Owner preferred.
• Commercially minded with ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.

Responsibilities

• Own the client portal redevelopment from discovery through build, testing, release and adoption.
• Partner with business owners across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Risk, Finance, Tech and Data to shape fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Run discovery sessions; surface underlying problems, not just requested solutions.

Join a fast growing non-bank lender as they invest in their platforms and client experience. This is a business of under 100 people with in house technology, a flat structure and a genuinely agile way of working, where teams cut across end to end delivery and the distance between you and the leadership team is one conversation.

About The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, your first priority is owning the redevelopment of the client portal end to end: replacing the current mobile only portal with a web based platform accessible on desktop and mobile, resolving underlying data quality issues, and improving the client experience & reducing customer support.

Business owners rely on the Senior BA to shape solutions, so you'll form a considered view on what should be built, argue for it, and secure agreement, rather than capturing what you're told. You'll also own the team's operating rhythm for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the client portal redevelopment from discovery through build, testing, release and adoption
• Partner with business owners across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Risk, Finance, Tech and Data to define problems and shape fit for purpose solutions
• Run discovery sessions and workshops that surface the underlying problem rather than the requested solution
• Translate business needs into leadership level scope and outcomes, and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps for delivery
• Make trade off calls on scope and sequencing as timelines, capacity and priorities shift
• Build credibility with senior stakeholders and land decisions across functions without line authority
• Own the team's cadence: planning, prioritisation, backlog refinement, stand ups, showcases and clear reporting to leadership

About You

• Senior end to end Business Analyst, typically 7+ years, with initiatives you've personally driven from problem definition through to live
• Demonstrable examples of owning product development end to end, ideally without a dedicated Product Owner behind you
• Solution focused and commercially minded, comfortable forming a point of view and constructively challenging stakeholders
• Scale up, start up or lean environment experience strongly preferred; enterprise backgrounds work well when balanced with scale up exposure
• Financial services experience desirable and lending experience helpful but not essential; payments, onboarding, origination, servicing or client lifecycle experience is all highly relevant
• Hands on CRM experience (HubSpot or Dynamics 365) advantageous but not required
• Comfortable with JIRA and Miro, with a considered view on where AI improves your work
