Job summary

Latrobe City Council in Morwell seeks a Senior Project Officer – Building Projects to lead capital works across community facilities and infrastructure. This full-time role (38 hours/week) is temporary for 12 months, Band 6, with a salary of $100,162.92 per year.

You will manage projects from inception to completion, coordinate consultants, assist with funding applications, and supervise contracts with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building and Construction or Civil Engineering with relevant experience.
• Trade qualification with substantial construction and project management experience.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage building and construction projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare preliminary scope and coordinate consultants for concept and detailed designs.
• Assist with technical documentation to support funding applications.
• Administer and supervise contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Consult with stakeholders, contractors and external agencies throughout delivery.
• Monitor budgets, timelines and contractor performance for quality and value.

Education
