Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to design and deliver advanced building management systems across data centres, healthcare and commercial buildings in Australia. You will lead technical delivery, work with MEP/ICT teams and drive innovative energy-efficient control strategies.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in controls, mechatronics, building services, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 7+ years' experience designing/implementing building control systems.
• Chartered engineer status or working towards it.
• Experience delivering BMS, SCADA/EPMS and HVAC control system design across multiple sectors.
• Awareness of market offerings and proficiency with industry software (Visio, AutoCAD, Revit).

Responsibilities

• Designing BMS/building controls to optimise performance across commercial, industrial, and data centre environments.
• Integrating BMS, SCADA/EPMS, and HVAC systems with redundancy and resiliency considerations.
• Producing design studies, reports, specs and drawings; witnessing commissioning.
• Leading design and implementation of control systems with innovative approaches.
• Leading stakeholder engagement, meetings, workshops and consultations.
