Job summary

AustCorp Executive is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and engagement for mechanical building services across major projects in defence, government, prisons, healthcare, data centres, airports, hotels and universities. You will drive HVAC system design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with Australian standards.

Strong Revit/AutoCAD/Hevacomp proficiency and 8+ years of relevant experience are required, with CPEng/NER/RPEQ preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience designing large HVAC systems, ducting, ventilation, plumbing and pumps.
• Degree or UK HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• CPEng, NER or RPEQ certification is preferred.
• 8+ years in large D&C projects, ideally healthcare, prisons, data centres and defence bases.
• 3+ years in an Australian consulting engineer practice.

Responsibilities

• Design large-scale mechanical systems including HVAC, ducting, ventilation, plumbing and pumps.
• Provide design and engineering advice on Mechanical building services installations over $15 million.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify best outcomes for greenfield, brownfield, or refurbishments.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure designs and variations are delivered within scope and Australian Standards.
