Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and delivery across infrastructure projects in Australia. The role involves hands-on LV electrical and communications work, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with design management and quality systems.

You will review designs, lead complex packages, and contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and client negotiations within a collaborative, inclusive team at Arup Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Experience with LV distribution, lighting and control systems, ITS or Traffic Signals.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and industry best practices.
• Chartered status or progression toward Chartered Status.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on LV electrical or communications services across multidisciplinary infrastructure project, including calculations, drawings and specifications, while guiding junior team members.
• Review and verify designs completed by others in areas of assessed competency.
• Manage design activities per Arup’s Design Management Manual and Quality Management System.
• Lead significant and complex electrical or communications design packages, including resource planning and coordination.
• Contribute to long-term planning, including budgeting and client negotiations.
