Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established Building Services consultancy in Sydney. This role offers a leadership path across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects and exposure to landmark developments.

You will manage designs from concept through to delivery, coordinate with mechanical, hydraulic, fire, and other teams, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Building Services (consultancy preferred).
• Strong knowledge across power, lighting, communications and ELV systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered status (CPEng) or working towards it is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical design from concept through to completion.
• Managing projects, timelines, and client relationships.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, hydraulic, fire, etc.).
• Ensuring compliance with Australian standards and regulations.
• Attending client meetings and contributing to business development.
