Job summary

Team Executive Consultants in Melbourne seeks a CA qualified or near-qualified accountant to join our collaborative firm. You will mentor four staff, review juniors' work, and prepare accounts and complex tax returns while liaising directly with clients and Partners.

You should be technically adept with Australian tax laws, BAS, CGT and FBT, with 4–6 years local accounting firm experience. We offer flexible start/finish times, study leave, ongoing training and overseas secondment possibilities.

Qualifications

• CA qualified or very close to qualified.
• 4–6 years local accounting firm experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communicator.
• Citizenship or permanent resident.

This firm prides itself on all team members working together and supporting each other. They have a low turnover of staff and everyone is supported by approachable colleagues, some who have been there 20 plus years.

Duties:

Support and mentor four staff.

Review work prepared by juniors.

Prepare accounts and tax returns for complex matters.

Liaise directly with clients and Partners.

Preparation of CGT, BAS and FBT returns.

Technically aware of Australian Tax laws.

Skills:

Overview and preparation of tax returns.

Advise junior staff on accounting and tax matters.

Fully conversant with BAS, CGT and FBT.

Some SMSFs and Div 7A exposure.

Liaise with clients on various tax issues and maintain positive relationships with clients.

Flexible hours for start/finish times.

Continual professional training.

Study leave if required.

Overseas secondment possible.

Time in lieu for any overtime.

You:

CA qualified or very close to qualified.

Ideally with 4-6 years local accounting firm experience.

Are an excellent verbal and written communicator.
