Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver evidence-based assessments, interventions and behaviour support plans for children and adults within the NDIS framework. You will build skills with individuals, families and support networks to promote inclusion and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Behavioural Science, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Social Work, Disability or Social Sciences (or similar)

Responsibilities

• Role & Responsibilities: Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, Behavioural Science or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience working within the NDIS sector, and current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient level or higher) under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
• Experience working with NDIS participants, understanding positive behaviour support, trauma informed care, and person-centred practice.
• Demonstrated experience prioritising workloads and managing clients with complex needs
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development, evidenced based practice, and measuring clinical outcomes
• Ability to work as a collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities.
