Job summary

NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner based in Newcastle, NSW. The role offers full-time with part-time consideration and flexible working arrangements within a supportive, child-safe, NDIA-aligned environment.

The Opportunity:

Join our Therapy and Behaviour Support team delivering life changing support across Samaritans. As a behaviour support practitioner, you will complete evidence-based behavioural assessments, interventions, and develop behaviour support plans to support children and adults to achieve their goals. You’ll focus on building the skills and capacity of individuals, families, and support networks to promote inclusion and quality of life. Working within NDIS and child-safe standards, you’ll be part of a positive, collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality care and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, Behavioural Science or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experienceworking within the NDIS sector, and current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Minimum Core level) under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Experience working with NDIS participants, understanding positive behavioursupport, trauma informed care, and person-centred practice.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritising workloads and managing clients with complex needs
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development, evidenced based practice, and measuring clinical outcomes
  • Ability to work as a collaboratively member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities.
